The word "fauna" means animals. But in a rainforest, it is home to over 20% of the world's bird species. The common animals in a rainforest are snakes, lovebirds, tiger swallowtails, macaws, eagles, monkeys and mainly pigeons. There are countless animal species and most animals I mentioned before live in strong nests because of the strong winds. These are special species of animals that are very rarely seen. They are vampire bats, leafcutter ant, anaconda, which is the longest type of snake in the world, and tapir, which is a herbivore because its teeth are so sharp it can rip out almost every type of leaf in the world.
